this wonderful technique of goldwork.
An online video accompanies this class for use afterwards to remind you
what you have learnt.
The idea of the class is to have a "go" while under Jill's instruction and to have a bit of fun.
If anyone has a goldwork project and they need help,
this is the perfect opportunity to ask for advice.
There will also be a discussion about a project you can go onto embroider after the class to practice what you have learnt.
Embroidered Heart
Hand Embroidered heart great how to learn
confidence of placing stitches
Learn how to embroider on a sweatshirt or a top of your choice
to create this fun bright design. You can also embroider onto a jersey fabric to be later attached to a garment of your choice.
The class will include a pack of stitch diagrams so you can go on to complete the project after the workshop has finished. JIll will discuss how to create a professional finish and how to make sure all threads are secure for washing and wearing.

Shadow Work
There are a few options for workshops
Wonderful traditional technique that be used for lettering as well as beautiful pictures
Learn using my design from the Royal School of Needlework piece to create
a beautiful piece of embroidery or have fun designing your own piece using a shell as the starting point.
I can also offer a shorter workshop where we can look at this technique being used for monogramming and card making with words and flowers
Crewelwork Embroidery
Learn how to shade and use crewel wools
It is easier to learn to shade with embroidery threads with crewel wools before
you start using finer threads and silks.
You will join your tutor to learn how to work a leaf and a petal taken from
a sunflower design.
We will also cover trellis and buttonhole stitching
You will receive a copy of the full design and notes to help you finish the sunflower design at home
